The progressive project we were given focused a lot on light, shadows, and defining lines. It was a assignment that would include everything we practiced through the unit. We were suppose to bring something in that we could slowly unwrap, that way we could draw it in progression. I decided to bring in a Nature Valley bar, because unwrapping it and drawing the detailed lines would be interesting and also it wouldn't spoil after a day.
The first one was the easiest seeing that I didn't have to unwrap it and just draw it the way it was. The strange challenge was opening the wrapper just enough, because if I just ripped it open the project would have been ruined. I had gotten better at drawing shadows so it that they weren't to dark and it worked in my favor. I took out the bars because I felt like the assignment wasn't to draw the food, but the wrapper itself. The last two wrapper shots were interesting and I was glad it was able to retain its form instead of just going flat. This project turned out a success and I definitely have a better skill at drawing highlights and shadows.
