Our last project of the year! Our assignment was to use scratchboard and create something that showed movement. I looked on Pinterest and stumbled across some wicked awesome drawings of wings. I knew I defiantly wanted to do something with wings so I came up with the idea of and angel looking up at the stars. Although the idea was great, it needed a little something to make it better. So I thought asteroids streaking across the sky would be perfect!
Will some guidance, I completed the body before starting on the wings. Surprisingly, the wings didn't take long at all! I scratched more over the parts that I wanted to be lighter. The grass was interesting, I was going for a "swaying in the breeze" look, so I made the grass long and curvy. They really turned out great and I really like how it looks completed. The most time consuming part was the sky of course. I did the asteroids first before adding various versions of stars. I'm really happy about the finished product and it was a great way to end the year.
