Working with Chalk Pastel the class was assigned to take pictures of egg(s) and draw them (shadow included) with a background. It was my first time working with Prismacolor chalk pastels! They blend really well which the assignment that much easier. After practicing a bit on another piece of paper I felt like I was ready for the final.Joke was on me, I realized I couldn't really draw an egg... so I practiced some more.
With Mrs.Rossi's help I gained the confidence to start my final project(for real this time). I went of a reddish-pink color for the egg and added a bit of purple at the bottom to show the darkness. I found it easier to color red first then add white later if I wanted a darker red and vis versa if I wanted a pink. I added yellow for the shadow, because I knew it would really pop. For the background I made the sky a gradient blue and the table a gradient green. I could have blended the yellow and white a bit more so the colors weren't as define. Otherwise I am proud of this piece.
